Our Work
The United We Dream way
We build power by organizing people who are most directly impacted at the local, state, and national levels, and develop the leadership and capacity of our leaders and member organizations to be strong and effective. We work towards our vision by leading local, state, and national campaigns, led by our leaders on immigration, LGBTQ, education, health, economic, environmental, and racial justice issues.
At the core, our campaigns develop leaders, strengthen organizing, advocacy, and lobbying capacities, and build movement and alliances with other social movements to advance our shared vision. We build on local and state victories that directly improve the lives of our community to create greater momentum across the country for the national change we seek.
Our life-changing work cover four key focus areas:
Winning Protections for Immigrants
The DACA program protects 800,000 immigrant youth from deportation and gives them freedom to work and live life.
Defending Against Deportations
Deportation Defense’s mission is to prevent and stop deportations at the individual, local, state and national level.
Education Access For Immigrants
Education Equity seeks to lay the groundwork that advances the educational justice movement in the U.S. in order to increase educational attainment rates.
Justice and Liberation for LGBTQ Immigrants
LGBTQ Justice seeks to organize and empower Undocumented Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer immigrants and allies.
